Air Manis Beach is located in Teluk Kabung District, 15 km from the center of the city of Padang, West Sumatra. Therefore, spend all day at Air Manis Beach and back again into the field in one day is not the impossible.
Air Manis Beach is a favorite
tourist attractions for local and foreign tourists because it has low waves and beautiful scenery of Mount Padang. There is also a small island called Banana Small. From morning to evening, you can walk to the island has an area of one hectare is through shallow water. In the afternoon, the tide began to rise and you must use a boat to return. There is another island called Big Banana on the right of Air Manis Beach.

diving on the Sikuai Island by
traveling for about 2.5 hours from Air Manis Beach. Sikuai Island is also famous for with white sands.
Air Manis Beach is closely related to the legend of
Malin Kundang in West Sumatra. Malin Kundang is a character in a fairy tale that turned to stone, along with his ship, after a rebel against his mother. On the beach, there are rocks and some ship equipment of Malin Kundang, which was also turned into stone. Based on the story, Malin Kundang cursed by his mother for refusing to recognize his mother after a trip to another area and become rich.
